How to Use a Card Key Finder

Thousands of people around the world misplace car keys on an almost daily basis. The ironic thing about the situation is that the keys generally wind up either right in plain sight or hidden somewhere that the keys never should have ventured in the first place. In an attempt to save keys from getting lost, several companies have come up with different devices to attach to keys in the past several years. Card key finders are a favorite among consumers due to the ability of the transmitter waves to pass through walls.

  1. First: Attach locator device to keys

Slip the locator device on to the keychain that seems to disappear the most often; this device emits noise and light signals when needed. Make sure that the transmitter is in a safe location, such as a wallet or jewelry box.

  2. Second: Test the card key finder

When leaving the room, push the button on the credit card-sized key locator. The locating device connected to the keychain should start making a noise and the LED light should start flashing; if it does not, make sure that the batteries are inserted correctly and that everything is in the right place according to the instructions.

  3. Third: Make sure the card key stays in a secure location

After the test proves successful, place the card transmitter in a safe place so that it does not get lost as well. In the event of lost keys, a simple push of the button on the transmitter sets off an instant alarm until the keys are found.
